Security and Privacy

We care for the security of our users and understand that users are concerned about the security and privacy of their online browsing and transactions. This is why we use Comodo Internet Security to ensure that valuable data (such as credit card details) are encrypted when users interact with our site. We employ state-of-the-art data encryption to ensure safe and secure transactions to our site. Our EV SSL encryption used throughout the website is the same as that used by banks, so your information is safe at all times. Please ensure that the green lock and "Abbexa Ltd (GB)" shows on the left of the address bar and the website address starts "https" to confirm security. Read more about this in our privacy policy.

Order Policy

All orders are governed by and shall be construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Orders are subject to availability. Our products’ prices do not include import duties, shipping or packaging and are subject to change without notice up to the time of posting. Once the order is received, the customer will receive confirmation of receipt of the order by email. It is the customer's responsibility to check that the details for the products, the shipping address and billing address are correct.

Customers can choose to purchase the product directly online or send a purchase order by email, post or fax to place an order. Customers need to provide all the information required for the invoice and delivery of their products. Customers should ensure that all the details provided in any order placed are complete and accurate. Abbexa will not be liable in the event of an error in the delivery address and cannot be held responsible for the failure to deliver your product(s).

Abbexa reserves the right to amend product specifications without notice. Product specifications in effect at the time of shipment are deemed final. Whilst all reasonable efforts are carried out to ensure the accuracy of the information provided on Abbexa’s website, blog and forum, Abbexa will not be liable for any errors in the information provided.

Invoices should be paid no later than 30 days after the invoice date and any bank charges that are incurred in making the payment should be covered by the customer. Debit or credit cards are also accepted for payment. In order to process a debit or credit card payment we will need you to provide us with the card holder’s name, card number, expiry date and security code. This is done through a secure service. For security reasons, we will not keep any customer’s debit or credit card information.

We reserve the right to ask for prepayment. Prepayment may be required if you are a first time buyer or if you are placing an order outside the UK. If we fail to secure payment within 30 days of receipt of the order, the order will be cancelled.

Packaging and products should be inspected immediately upon receipt. Notification of damage, shortages or defects should be given immediately by phone, email or fax within 1 week of receipt.

The products remain the property of Abbexa until the product has been paid for in full with cleared funds.

Rewards and Promotions Policy

Abbexa will offer rewards where applicable, as stated in our Rewards & Promotions page. Abbexa is not responsible for lost or damaged Amazon code vouchers. These will be issued and sent once a review has been published. Our promotions are only valid for orders placed through the website using the appropriate discount coupon code correctly within the shopping cart and for purchase orders where the discount coupon code is clearly visible. Discounts cannot be retroactively applied to past orders. Abbexa reserves the right to withhold or stop rewards and promotions where they have been misused. All rewards are subject to change or termination without notice.

Dispatch and Delivery Policy

Abbexa endeavours to process and dispatch all orders within 1-2 weeks. Each product page has an availability note which shows the lead time for that particular product and provides a more accurate timeline. Please note that the dispatch and delivery timelines are an estimate and are not guaranteed.

Abbexa uses logistics companies such as TNT, FedEx and DHL to deliver products to customers. All orders require a signature upon delivery. Abbexa will arrange and pay for shipping costs directly with the relevant courier, unless the customer has provided clear instructions that we should use a particular courier account number to cover the costs of shipping. In this case, only handling fees will apply. Abbexa will include any necessary paperwork for UK export and import into the recipient country. It is the customer's responsibility to clear the products through customs at the recipient country. The customer must inform Abbexa of any extra paperwork required by the recipient country or institution prior to placing an order, so that clearance delays can be avoided.

Once the order is processed and booked with the courier, Abbexa will inform the customer within 24h that the package(s) is on its way. We will provide the courier name, the relevant tracking number and a tracking link. The courier page will provide a delivery estimate specific to the delivery address. In the rare case we need to split the shipment, we will contact the customer directly and send 2 separate tracking numbers. The customer can also request a delivery to be split, but please note that this may incur additional shipping fees.

When orders reach the destination country, they may be subject to customs clearance procedures which can cause delays beyond original delivery estimates given by Abbexa or by the delivery courier. All import duties, value added taxes on goods and all other charges levied on the shipment in the destination country shall be payable to the courier by the receiver.

Abbexa ships worldwide. There are some countries where we will be unable to ship, due to governmental policies. We will also be unable to ship to conflict or post-conflict areas. Please contact us before placing your order if you are unsure if we can deliver to you.

Delayed Delivery Policy

Abbexa operates a delayed delivery option, which enables use of grant money before deadlines. This is designed exclusively to extend the validity period of products which have a short storage period. In order to take advantage of this policy and make the most of your grant, please contact us. Abbexa will deem all incoming orders urgent, unless otherwise stated in writing on the invoice, proforma invoice or order acknowledgement, which is sent to the customer as proof of order receipt. If ordering directly through the website, please indicate in the comments section of the checkout process that you would like the "Delayed delivery option" and indicate the estimated month of delivery. If ordering using a purchase order, please clearly indicate this in your purchase order document. If your order has been accepted for delayed delivery, it will be clearly stated in your invoice. Abbexa will not accept responsibility for any orders which are sent before the requested delivery date, unless the delivery date is shown on the Abbexa invoice. It is the customer's responsibility to thoroughly check the invoice as soon as it is received and notify Abbexa immediately if any of the information is incorrect. Our Order Policy and Cancellation Policy will act in conjunction with the Delayed Delivery Policy.

Orders will only be delayed for up to 6 months. Please contact us if you require further details.

Guarantee Policy

Products are only guaranteed for tested applications as listed in the product's datasheet. Some products are tested only using recombinant samples and are not covered for use on endogenous samples. Conversely, some products are tested only using endogenous samples and are not covered for use on recombinant samples. Some reactivity information may be predicted and is not guaranteed. Reactivity may be based on sequence homology and provided for reference only. Please check before purchasing. If you require further assistance please contact the scientific support team on support@abbexa.com

Claims Policy (for replacement or refund)

When receiving a complaint or notice that a product is not working as expected, a troubleshooting procedure is put in motion before offering a replacement or credit note. We go through the troubleshooting process to be able to identify areas where we can improve so it is important to follow this procedure. We will be unable to offer a credit note or replacement if the troubleshooting procedure has not been followed.

Please kindly note that we are unable to guarantee that our ELISA kits and antibodies will work for all recombinant proteins as some recombinant variants can have different sequences or contain only part of the sequence which may not contain the area targeted by the antibodies. When testing, we will always use native samples. If in doubt, always check with us to ensure that the recombinant protein tested contains the right sequence, but please note that this sequence may be masked in the recombinant version’s tertiary structure and we cannot guarantee success.

To start the case into a product not performing as expected, we will require the following:

We must have this information in order to assess a case. A troubleshooting form can be provided upon request, which will cover the above points.

Our technical support team would then assess if the case can be resolved with minor modifications to the protocol. If we are unable to resolve the case through a troubleshooting procedure or if we determine the product is not performing as described on the data sheet a replacement or credit note will be offered.

Gift Policy

Gifts (such as USB flash drives, cotton bags, pens, lanyards, etc) may be provided for some orders and are offered on a first-come-first-serve basis while stocks last. Abbexa will not be held liable nor responsible for misuse of the gifts. These are offered as-is and intended as a free gift for the customer. Abbexa will not be responsible for any mislaid or broken gifts. Abbexa does not guarantee a gift with every order.

Equal Opportunity and Race Relations Policy

As required by the Race Relations (Amendment) Act 2000 and our commitment to diversity, inclusion and equality of opportunity, all staff are afforded equal opportunities within employment and that entry into employment with Abbexa and progression within employment will be determined only by personal merit and the application of criteria which are related to the duties of each particular post and the relevant salary structure. In all cases, ability to perform the job will be the primary consideration. Subject to statutory provisions, no applicant or member of staff will be treated less favourably than another because of his or her sex, marital status, sexual orientation, religion, creed, racial group, or disability.

Abbexa welcomes diversity amongst its staff and seeks to ensure that all candidates for employment are treated fairly, and that selection is based solely on the individual merits of candidates and on selection criteria relevant to the post.

Selection criteria for all posts will be clearly defined and reflected in the further particulars sent to candidates. Job qualifications or requirements which would have the effect of inhibiting applications from members of particular groups, such as those of one sex, marital status, sexual orientation, race or disability, will not be demanded or imposed except where they are justifiable in terms of the job to be done. Job advertisements will be widely publicised so as to encourage applications from a broad range of suitable candidates from all backgrounds.

All those handling applications and conducting interviews must be aware of the principles of the Sex Discrimination Act, the Race Relations Act, the Disability Discrimination Act, and other relevant legislation. All candidates will be compared objectively with the selection criteria, and all applications will be processed in the same way. Information sought from candidates and passed to those responsible for appointments will relate only to the qualifications for or requirements of the job.

Wherever suitably qualified persons are available, there will be at least one member of each sex on the bodies responsible for shortlisting, interviewing, and making or recommending an appointment.
