AKT1/2/3 Cell ELISA Kit is a cell-based ELISA Kit. Cells to be assayed should be seeded onto a clear flat bottom 96 well plate, using poly-L-lysine for non-adherent cells. Cells should be grown to 75-90% confluence and treated prior to carrying out the ELISA.

Introduction The RAC serine/threonine-protein kinases (AKT1, 2, and 3 in humans, also known as Protein Kinase B, PKB) are a group of enzymes that catalyse the phosphorylation of serine and/or threonine residues on proteins, using ATP as a phosphate donor. This allows them to regulate the activity of other proteins, which are chiefly involved in glucose metabolism, cell survival and proliferation, and migration. Overexpression of AKT proteins occurs in various tumours.

Note This product is for research use only.

The range and sensitivity is subject to change. Please contact us for the latest product information. For accurate results, sample concentrations must be diluted to mid-range of the kit. If you require a specific range, please contact us in advance or write your request in your order comments.

Please note that our ELISA and CLIA kits are optimised for detection of native samples, rather than recombinant proteins. We are unable to guarantee detection of recombinant proteins, as they may have different sequences or tertiary structures to the native protein.
