Hyaluronan Synthase 2 (HAS2) Antibody is a Mouse monoclonal against Hyaluronan Synthase 2 (HAS2). Hyaluronan Synthase 2 (HAS2) catalyzes the addition of GlcNAc or GlcUA monosaccharides to the nascent hyaluronan polymer and is essential to hyaluronan synthesis. Hyaluronan is a major component of most extracellular matrices, and has a structural role in tissue architectures and regulation of cell adhesion, migration and differentiation. Hyaluronan Synthase 2 (HAS2) is responsible for the synthesis of high molecular mass hyaluronan, and required for the transition of endocardial cushion cells into mesenchymal cells, a process crucial for heart development. It may also play a role in vasculogenesis.
