Scientific Marketing and Design Assistant-US

This is an exciting and challenging opportunity to join a leading biotech company with branches in Cambridge (UK), Houston (US) and Zoetermeer (NL), providing products and services globally.
We are looking for a hard-working, competent, and organized individual to join our small dynamic team in Sugar Land, Texas. You will be responsible for managing relationships and discovering new leads, suggesting improvements to processes, and assisting in delivering first class scientific content through a wide variety of marketing channels.
Role & Responsibilities:
- Planning, designing, launching and managing marketing campaigns for emails, social media posts, and other marketing communication channels
- Designing educational scientific diagrams and illustrations. Email campaigns, social media posts, stands for conferences
- Planning and designing flyers, brochures, and other marketing materials
- Setting up, monitoring and evaluating impact for digital advertising (Google Ads, Facebook, etc)
- Identifying and suggesting improvements for the delivery of communications
- Front end development including design and content changes, determining the structure and design of website pages
- Collaborating and assisting back end developers with research and ideas, and improving usability
- Liaising with channel partners to identify new avenues for content delivery
- Building and maintaining audience databases (data cleaning, querying, visualization and algorithm development and optimization)
- Managing relationships with existing distribution partners (maintaining regular communication, keeping track of sales and growth, and identifying new avenues for content delivery and sales growth)
- Monitoring and evaluating competitors in relation to our own content and marketing
- Developing, implementing, and reviewing current digital marketing processes and improving/optimizing where appropriate
- Help develop and maintain scientific content for our website including press releases, blogs, articles for the website, and other content creation
- Maintaining website SEO
- Assisting with monitoring and reporting on other Google tracking: Google Analytics, Google Search Console, Google Tag Manager
- Identify new avenues for, and reviewing, customer feedback
- Identifying and implementing promotional activities
- Designing, creating and purchasing marketing materials e.g. tumblers, lanyards, notebooks etc.
- Designing, creating and purchasing marketing documents e.g. flyers, brochures, company presentations etc.
- Designing and creating internal and external company videos
- Creating icons and educational scientific diagrams and illustrations
Desired Skills & Experience:
Required:
- Imaginative and creative
- Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and Wondershare
- Ability to work independently and to explain things logically and clearly
- Fluent in English
- Marketing qualification or experience is desired
- Good communication skills, telephone manner, and tone
- Ability to manage time effectively, to prioritize and complete required tasks
- Tenacious with a keen eye for detail
Advantageous:
- Life sciences degree (BSc, MSc) or equivalent experience
- Knowledge of Google Ads, Google Merchant Center, Microsoft Advertising
- Knowledge of HTML and CSS
Full training will be provided. You must be organized, decisive, efficient, reliable, and practical. You must have the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

The office is directly off highway 90, between highway 6 and Interstate 59, which makes for convenient access to almost everywhere. The starting package will include 17 days paid vacation plus select national holidays and access to a 401k.
This is a full-time, permanent position after a 90 day probationary period.
