Datasheet SDS
Native Human Serum Albumin (HSA). This product is provided in 250 mg vials.

Human serum albumin is the most abundant protein in Human blood plasma, constituting about half of total serum protein. It is soluble, monomeric and is produced in the liver. It's functions include transportation of hormones, fatty acids and other compounds, acting as a pH buffer, and maintaining oncotic pressure. Albumin is synthesized in the liver as preproalbumin, with an N-terminal peptide that is removed before the nascent protein is released from the rough endoplasmic reticulum as proalbumin, which is then cleaved in the golgi apparatus to produce secreted albumin.
