Datasheet SDS
Bovine serum albumin (also known as BSA or "Fraction V") is a globular protein used extensively as a carrier protein to dilute antibodies. Because is a small, stable, moderately non-reactive protein, it is often used as a general protein blocking agent in immunoassays and immunodetection protocols. BSA immunoassay applications include ELISA (Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay), immunoblots (western blot and dot blot), and immunocytochemistry (immunohistochemistry and immunofluorescence microscopy). Bovine BSA Standard Powder Protein is a purified protein or bioactive peptide.
