Calcium Assay Kit is an assay kit designed for the detection and quantification of Calcium concentrations in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernatants and urine using a microplate reader. Any calcium ions present in the sample bind to Methyl Thymol Blue (MTB) in alkaline solution, forming a blue complex. The calcium concentration can be calculated by measuring the absorbance at 610 nm.
