Cow Disialoganglioside GD1b is a small molecule purified from Cow brain. GD1b is a neuronal ganglioside with disialo linkage. May act as a co-receptor for bacterial toxins (tetanus, botulinus) and marker of neural tumors (astroglioma). Can be used as immunogen for production of monoclonal antibodies that do not cross-react with GT1b or GD2.
