Datasheet SDS
Mouse Fibrillin-1 Protein is a recombinant protein from Mouse produced in HEK293 cells. The target gene encoding Ser2732-His2871 is expressed with an N-terminal His tag.

Fibrillin-1 is a protein produced by white adipose tissue in mammals, which stimulates the liver to release glucose into the blood stream, via a cAMP-dependent pathway. This process is vital for brain function and survival during fasting. Neonatal progeroid syndrome results in lack of Fibrillin-1, while insulin resistance causes an abundance of Fibrillin-1. Fibrillin-1 has been proposed as a target for Type 2 Diabetes treatment- when antibodies targeting Fibrillin-1 were injected into diabetic mice, blood glucose and insulin levels improved.
