Introduction | GADD153 (also know as DNA Damage Inducible Transcript 3, DDIT3, and C/EBP homologous protein, CHOP) is a transcription factor that induces the production of various pro-apoptotic proteins and cytokines, while repressing some anti-apoptotic proteins. DDIT3 is upregulated during endoplasmic reticulum stress, and is frequently used as a biomarker of this process. Mice deficient in DDIT3 were less likely to generate an inflammatory response in the lungs when administered LPS. |

Note | THIS PRODUCT IS FOR RESEARCH USE ONLY. NOT FOR USE IN DIAGNOSTIC OR THERAPEUTIC PROCEDURES. Please note that our kits are optimised for detection of native samples, rather than recombinant proteins. We are unable to guarantee detection of recombinant proteins, as they may have different sequences or tertiary structures to the native protein. |
