Human Coxiella burnetii IgG (Q Fever IgG) ELISA Kit is an ELISA kit against Human Coxiella burnetii IgG (Q Fever IgG).

Introduction Coxiella burnetii is a small Gram-negative bacterium that causes Q fever, a relatively rare zoonotic disease. The bacterium invades cells and forms a vacuole, using Ank proteins to prevent its fusion with endosomes. It is extremely infectious, with a single bacterium having approximately a 50% chance of infecting a human being. Symptoms of Q fever include fever, aches, dry cough, nausea, and loss of appetite. Over time, Q fever can sometimes progress to a chronic infection, causing granulomatous hepatitis or endocarditis. The infection is treated with tetracyclines and quinolones.

Stability The stability of the kit is determined by the rate of activity loss. The loss rate is less than 5% within the expiration date under appropriate storage conditions. To minimize performance fluctuations, operation procedures and lab conditions should be strictly controlled. It is also strongly suggested that the whole assay is performed by the same user throughout.
