| Introduction | Histamine Receptor 4 (HRH4) is a G protein-coupled receptor found on leukocytes, including eosinophils and mast cells. Activation of HRH4 by histamine (or by a number of artificial agonists) increases inflammation, promotes an allergic response, and induces the differentiation and proliferation of Th17 cells. Antagonists to HRH4 are being investigated as treatments for asthma. |
