Soluble in water, alcohols, acetone and benzene.
Boiling Point: 153°C.
Vapor Pressure: 380 Pa (20°C). N,N-Dimethylformamide is used as solvent, catalyst and gas absorbent and is unstable in the presence of a strong acid or base especially at high temperatures. It can be hydrolyzed to produce formic acid and dimethylamine.
