Penicillin-Streptomycin-Glutamine Solution is used to prevent microbial contamination in vitro. This product contains L-Glutamine to help promote cell growth. Penicillin interferes with bacterial cell wall synthesis, particularly Gram-positive bacteria, while Streptomycin binds to the 30S ribosomal subunit to inhibit bacterial protein synthesis particularly in Gram-negative bacteria.
