Protein Shisa-7 (SHISA7) Antibody is a Rabbit polyclonal against Protein Shisa-7 (SHISA7). Protein Shisa-7 (SHISA7) is a transmembrane protein that regulates gamma-aminobutyric acid type A receptor (GABA(A)R) trafficking, channel deactivation, and is necessary for fast inhibitory transmission in the brain. It enhances the action of benzodiazepine, a primary GABA(A)Rs target drug and can influence channel kinetics of AMPA-type glutamate receptors (AMPAR), the brain's main excitatory neurotransmitter, which is vital for synaptic hippocampal plasticity, and memory recall. It also regulates the induction and maintenance of long-term potentiation at Schaffer collaterals/CA3-CA1 excitatory synapses.
